A huge range of activities is available within a short distance of Raetihi including skiing, fishing, hunting, tramping, kayaking, mountain biking or simply getting away from it all.

The Bridge to Nowhere is an absolute must as identified by the AA in their top 101 must do’s for Kiwis.

There are plenty of walks up or around the mountains, including the famous Tongariro Crossing and the Round the Mountain Track. In summer the ski lifts are open to take you towards the summit of Mt. Ruapehu with its' stunning crater lake. Trout are plentiful in the area as it is sparsely populated and well stocked.

Guided tours are many and varied and drop-offs or pick-ups can be arranged for that hunting trip, or bike ride.
