The Raetihi Country Markets – Most Months
- The Raetihi Country Market is a regular community event
- held at The Centre, 18 Seddon Street Raetihi on the third Saturday of
every month. Market dates 2012 – 16 June, 21 July, 18 August, 15
September, 20 October, 17 November
The Raetihi Gutbuster – Fun Bike Ride on Easter Sunday
- The Raetihi Gutbuster is a fun cycle ride on the Raetihi-

The Raetihi Trolley Derby - January - The
Raetihi Trolley Derby is an awesome event for the whole family. Build a
trolley, come along and compete in a short, sharp 300m downhill race.
Waimarino A& P Show – February - The
Historic Raetihi hosts the annual A & P show in February. The event
features equestrian, beef, sheep shearing, highland cattle and axemans
competitions. Plus there is plenty of entertainment for the whole family.
Waimarino Rodeo – March - The
longest continuing Rodeo in New Zealand is held in March every year in Raetihi.
The Rodeo attracts top competitors from all around New Zealand, as it is the
last full programme Rodeo of the Rodeo Circuit Season.
Ohakune Mardi Gras - June - To
celebrate the beginning of winter, and the start of ski season people join
together in Ohakune for the Mardi Gras. There is plenty of music, and plenty of
fun to be had by all. This year the Mardi Gras is 23rd June.
Raetihi Ripper – November - The unique two day
trail ride is a fundraiser for Raetihi community groups. Bring your bikes,
family and mates. Email Raetihiripper@yahoo.co.nz
Raetihi Christmas Carnival – December - Enjoy
the parade as it goes down the main street - this is a great traditional family
day so spoil yourselves with the baked and bbq’d goods lining the main street
of Raetihi. This is followed by Christmas Carols in the park.
